General Rules

¬ Although the school is not responsible for the behaviour of its students outside its precincts, due notice will be taken of reports of misbehaviour and disciplinary action will be taken against them if the report is substantiated on proper inquiry.

¬ Any damage done in the class or in the school premises has to be compensated. Hence, pupils must take care of the equipment that has been lent for their use.

¬ The School Authorities will not be responsible for the loss, damage or robbery of the pupil’s belongings. It is not advisable for the pupils to bring money or valuable articles to school.

¬ Cell Phones or other such electronic devices are strictly not allowed on the person of the student when in school or during school picnics, etc.

¬ No books, newspaper or periodicals, other than those prescribed may be brought to the school without the Head Master / Mistress’s permission. All such items will be confiscated.

¬ No collection of any sort, for any purpose whatsoever, will be started without the previous permission of the Principal.

¬ No child should leave the school premises during the school recess.

¬ The speaking of English is encouraged in the school and within the school premises.

¬ No gift or any demonstration to the teacher is allowed without the previous consent of the school authorities. Students are not allowed to take private tuition from the teachers on the School Roll. If found doing so, the student is liable for dismissal.

¬ Any communication, request or complaint, made by parents must be addressed to the Principal and not to the class teacher and all correspondence from the school shall go through the Principal/Head Master.

¬ No certificate of any kind will be given without a written application and in the prescribed form by the parent/guardian. This application should be handed over in the school office at least 7 days before the date on which the certificate is required.

¬ The decision of the Head Master / Mistress with regard to fees, assessment of marks, prizes, etc, will also be final.

¬ Parents, guardians or other persons are not allowed to speak to the students or their teachers during class hours without the permission of the Head Master / Mistress. Appointments may be made beforehand for a meeting during a teacher’s free periods, with the approval of the Head Master / Mistress.

¬ Parents are expected to co-operate in the work of the school by enforcing regularity and discipline and by taking general interest in their wards progress.

¬ Parents should carefully go through the school diary everyday. They should take note of remarks and sign them.

¬ Parents or guardians are requested to immediately inform the school of any change in their address or telephone numbers.

¬ Parents and guardians may interview members of the staff regarding their wards progress and behaviour in school, on prior appointment.

¬ Parents are informed that their children are liable to be sent back from school or detained after school hours by the Principal for any of the following reasons:
a). Not wearing the correct uniform.
b). Not having a remark in the diary signed by the parent.
c). Not being on time for Assembly or Class.
d). Repeatedly forgetting to bring proper books.
e). Not having the Leave Absence Record duly signed.
f). Not having the Progress Report signed when required.
g). Having partaken in un-exceptable behaviour.
h). Non payment of Fees.

¬ It is strictly compulsory for every pupil to come to school in the full school uniform prescribed.
